This is a Boss 302 based engine with Cobra Automotive upgrades. It’s built with a new Ford Racing Boss 302 block and Scat forged steel crank, for 331 cu. in. We balance the rotating assembly and degree the solid roller camshaft to complete the shortblock. The original Boss heads are ported and modified for maximum flow.

You can run most of the smaller stroker kits in the 289 they just don't advertise the application as being for a 289 because the longevity isn't there.
