Also, there is a listener in the WOL-app you downloaded. It can capture and display WOL-packets sent to 255.255.255.255 (network broadcast), i.e. option 1 in the LGTV companion app. It will not capture packets to IP (default option 2) as you need wireshark to do that. Might be an easier start

If you do get it for monitor use try the LG TV Companion app for Windows it gives you a more monitor type set up ie it will switch on the C2 when the PC starts or switch TV off when PC is shut down and much more.
